Well, I really really like it! I was going to get indian ornamental,, but then, I preferred this one. It's really really sensitive to vibration(?) if you ask me..compared to other tarantulas!
Even when I really slowly move the cage with two hands to another place...
It gets scared and just crouches...

Awesome pics and some great Sp.....If it were myself though, I would definately remove that Styro from the Maculata's tank wall...I use the Exo-Terra tanks here myself i love them .....but I've learned that T's can get thier legs caught in the cracks between the styro and the tank, and the hooks on the end of thier toes can get caught in the Styro.. I learned the hard way when my 6 inch Pederseni lost a leg that way....just a word of advice.....Nice collection though...

I fully agree I have found my rufilata to be hypersensistive to me trying to get a look at her.. but when i put her cage back i see her stretch back out again.. lil bugger. heh heh :0)

rufilata is usually brown~redish hair i believe.
maybe it's just the pic...
hm...well it's not as greyish or whitish as the regalis.
thx for the post.
it's always a thrill to watch a juvenile T slowly starting to get some colours!..
