Well I picked up the 15th Arachnid in my collection today. The problem is that thought I can find this spider online, I cannot find its latin name. Does anyone know it?

Perfect! Do you know a good site that I can find the exact specifics about them? I dont have too much detailed information on them.

I know they are hard to identify, as there are a lot of different species, and they all look the same at first sight.
I used to have one of those red ones, and I identified it with the book "Baboon and trapdoorspiders of Southern Africa". It's a very good book for identifying species like this. You should look at the position of the eyes. That's one of the main differences between the species.
Mine was Idiops sp.

My Trapdoor is the one that Glen posted a picture of. I can tell not only through coloration and pattern, but the eyes are in the same spots also.
