Would I be able to keep an orb weaver at room temperature without it dying??

If your room temp more or less is around 74-85 degrees i don't see why it wouldn't survive.

There's one living with us right now, already going on seven weeks. They live up to two years, don't they? I don't think you have to feed them that often (couple times a week), but I feed ours every other day or so. Flies I catch and once in a while a small cricket from the pet shop. Once in a while I lightly mist the web with a sprayer.

I've always been more into the other spiders around here like black widows, brown recluses, and wolf spiders, never paid alot of attention to orb weavers but I wanted to keep one for the web it makes, but after I fed it I saw how it wraps the bug up with a real big sheet of web and that was cool {D
