hey!
i'm the happy owner of a fat little Mastigoproctus giganteus, or Giant Vinegaroon! S/he's in a new tank with a couple of hides and already ate a cricket. these are some amazing looking animals.
anyone have any pointers?

Just give plenty of burrowing substrate, maybe a couple clay pot halves, and a shallow water dish. I agree Uropygi are awesome arachnids! :)

I have what I am told is a full grown male. He is quite secrative, I've never even seen him eat. I have a hide, a water dish, and part of his substrate is damper than the other. He shows equal preference.
Holding him is easy, he's not too scared, and never 'sprays'.
Pretty neat pet!

I agree the grampus are very neat-o pets... they can live up to 20 years!
I currently have one that I'm raising a vinegaroonling?, and it has clever claws, which are bright red, and it's very fast.
