I've done a search on the board and on google and I'm having trouble finding a way to ID or key out huntsman spiders. The one I have is from Ecuador, any suggestions on species?

i could be wrong, but it does resemble heteropoda venataria, being they are pretty much cosmotropical worldwide, just a hunch:D very cool spider

I did a search for that species and a lot of the pictures had spiders with the top row of eyes more spread out than mine. Is that a species characteristic or individual variation?

Thanks again!

hmm, i'm not sure could be different variant, being they are from different locals:? hunstsmans can be tough to identify, wish i can help more, the ones we have down here in fla. look very much like yours(almost identical) the males being more mottled color and females more brown. like yours.
