Bill,
They're alright  ...I guess ;)
If it wasn't for that darn urticating patch!
It ruins everything. Now, if they were an old world species, they'd be perfect. No mirror, good attitude.
Anyway, here's my doppleganger.

If you put it on a rack and stretch it out, this guy might be 1/2".. just thought I'd toss a pick of a sling up.

Mine is becoming less and less handleable by the molt. It is becoming quite skittish. It is very fast.
But it is gorgeous and they are very inexpensive. So I highly recommend getting one.

Well, here's my 7 legged female, who finally accepted me messing with her tonite. Once my male matures, she'll be subjected to a blind dinner date.. I might make her look like delonigan's sling beforehand just in case..

Well, I know it's an old thread, but I thought it as good a place as any to show off my very beautiful C.fasciatum male who matured last month.
He's off like a lamb to the slaughter in a couple of weeks...one less itchy New Worlder to worry about ;)

I'm sure I'd appreciate mine more if I ever saw her ;)
Little stinker has been holed up for two months. Every so often, I uncover her 'trapdoor' (she has a self ID problem!) to see what she is up to. The answer is 'NOTHING'. Silly little bug.....
I might as well add my little tiger to the post... :)

I suppose this could be a stupid question but some of the pics have awsome green legs and the others are bland, is this done with light as with the h. lividium?
Do ALL males have that really cool blue femur?

How do you have your tanks for this species set up? Are they a burrowing species? I am thinking about buying one and just trying to get info on them. Lopez, those pictures of that male were amazing!

I have only used a regular desk lamp for these two pictures, but the sling DOES show some green on its femurs. It's actually more visible "in person".

Actually there are 2 different one being posted C.fasciatum has a oval shaoed area that will be her solid orange. On the other hand, and the look a 'ell for one maybe 2 more molt would be GBB sling. That clear area of orange on the TigerRump, well it is always gonna have that... THe GBB also will will always have the blackm though is will grow a lot of arange hais in covering that up. Don't trust me, find slings pictures and it'll come,
