IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
It is with regret and apologies that I must announce that one of our keynote speakers, Dr. Sam Marshall, has been forced to withdraw from our lecture series. Dr. Marshall recently learned that he is going to have to teach a summer school biology course at Northwestern State University (Louisiana) where he is a professor. It is a 6 hour per day, 5 day a week course and there is no way he could travel to San Antonio for his presentation. Dr. Marshall was looking forward to joining us and apologizes for his cancellation. On behalf of Scott and Debby, I also apologize for what certainly is disappointing news to all of us.
I am approaching a couple of other people regarding filling his spot and will make an announcement here as soon as possible.
I do have some good news regarding a couple of additions to the lecture day.
First, Alex Orleans of Northwest Zoological and tarantulas.com and his spider manager Dan recently made a trip to Malaysia and, among other things, observed the blue Cyriopagopus (aka Malaysian or Singapore Blue) in nature and will give an interesting presentation on their field trip.
Additionally, I will be heading up a tarantula care and breeding Q & A panel along with two or three other breeders that I will name soon. This will be a great opportunity for you to pick the brains of a few highly experienced and successful tarantula specialists in a forum where everyone can share in the discussion.
Warm regards, Michael
