so recently i joined flickr.com and after browsing around for a bit i found alot of very nice insect/spider photos.this one struck me as something special tho.

i don't have any idea what spider that is, but it sure is sweet! it looks pretty big too!
looks like maybe a huntsman. possibly grey or Brown- Heteropoda jugulans? Not seen one just like that though.

hi, itīs definetly not a huntsman. I would guess itīs a Ctenidae...

LOL, Gigus, sure i have and sure you have seen some.
Pictures of male P. nigriventer and male P. reidyi have been posted from my side in several threads here.
I have no pics of my former male P. boliviensis though, but theyīre quite easy to to tell apart from females as they have much more black in the face and show a slightly different build and abdominal markings.
I find the sexual dimorphism within the P. boliviensis more pronounced than with P. nigriventer and P. reidyi.

definitely, unfortunately a rather small species.
Interestingly, there are some coloration differences within this species with specimen from different locations in central america.
Specimen from Costa Rica differ to some degree to that from Panama...
