These guys make trap door like burrows (-the door). This one built hers in a caliche like substrate where I cought her. The orange is actually brighter than the pic.

wow i had afew of those sometime ago they were from texas aswell not sure what part,exactly like that 1 i was wondering too on the id:wall: whe i got them they were calling them "texas giant wolf spider" that helps alot:rolleyes: neverless they are very cool,gonna have to get more.

i'm thinking that too, i have a carolinensis(fla) and it looks like that but alittle darker grey same chevron pattern on the abdomen,very well can be.
