A friend I work with at a pet store has a male pink toe tarantula, she showed him to me unsure of the sex and the boxing gloves were a quick giveaway. She kept saying he looked like he was about to shed and I prepared her for the inevitable result of his attempt at a post ultimate molt.

However... he survived!

He looks really thin and tiny and his first pair of walking legs are super long and spindly, but he made it through the molt.

Have you had a male survive this molt, if so how long did he live afterwards?

Hey check out this thread.

I didn't post in it the other day, but the longest I have seen a male live after post ultimate was 3 years or so. Not sure of the exact count, as it wasn't mine but I was surprised it was still kickin everytime I checked. Finally just stopped eating and starved.
