Hey Y'all
Since my trip to AC is going to be cut a little short, I was wondering if anyone could dig up a few cacti for me as long as you are at a place you can do this? Last year during a Field Trip to OK, I dug up a couple that I give my Grandmother and this Spring they made these cool looking purple flowers. I would greatly aprreciate it if someone could dig a few up for me. I dont really want any prickly pears since I can get those here in MO but some of the others I saw there last year would be neat to have.
Thanks :)

What kinds are you looking for? About all we have in this area are prickly pairs and horse cripplers.

how bout some pencil cactus? not sure what they are really but they are long pencil diameter branches that get red things on them and fall off to make more. and then some hedhog (i think) cactus and some of the ones like new mexico has that has big branches about 1" -1.5" diameter and makes multicolored flowers when they get big

Yeah the so called horse cripplers will work great. BTW, just out of curiosity how cold are the Winters where you live? I was wondering if I would need to bring them in during the cold months.

I think I saw something similar to that in Oklahoma and yes I would really like those :)

Ill dig one of two up for you before AC. This past winter was really bad for us, it snowed a couple times, and everything was iced over for awhile. But the coldest it got was still above 0F. If I remember correctly, it got down to 7F one night, but that was it. Taking them in during the winter might be a good idea, lol.
Sky, if you wouldnt mind can you grab one of those cacti for me too?
I am going to be cactus hunting to texas and back but I would love to have one of those in case I cannot find anything similar. :)

Brian, if I happen upon some healthy populations of cacti on my way to AC do you want me to grab you some?
