My LPS recently asked me to identify a juvi T that they recently got from an owner who could no longer care for it. I'm a little stumped and was hoping for the community's help! Thanks in advance guys! Sorry about the poor quality, it was in the shop on my phone, and this is the only one i can get...
my t keeps putting mealworms in her water bowl. just wondering if this is normal behaviour? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
I have some spiderling Avics, and I do OK with them. I've kept Avics on and off for the past few years. Sooner or later one of them ends up with a colorful fungus in the substrate, little dots, pick a color they grow. Clearly I'm not great at maintaining the proper ventilation/moisture balance. My...
I have a B.smithi sling who has been on "lock down" in its hide for going on 3 weeks, I'm assuming to molt.( she is probably about 4 months old 1/2") is there any point that I become worried???
Yesterday I was half-asleep and was going to fill Pandora's (G. rosea) water dish. I didn't think to take the screen top off and just dumped the water downward as it filled the dish. The pattern in the screen gave the water a showerhead effect and sprayed that area of the tank. Pandora hates water,...
Hey guys, is anyone here selling a female lp with a fair bit of growing to do still.. So like around juvenile size or a little bigger thanks.. :)
So I went to a LP to get some dubias and I ended up walking out with this guy/girl  I paid $35 ---------- Post added 05-18-2013 at 05:00 PM ----------
No pairing pictures yet, I just want to show off the male and female because I'm stoked! Dahlia my MF (btw the darkened top of the opisthosoma, not premolt right? She last molted 2/2013...) And Phredd my MM, who is currently fattening up with a huge cricket!
So I have been reading the Beginners guide A LOT lately and came across some great information yesterday about Arboreal (I will call them A's for short) and Terrestrials (I will call Te's for short) So here is my scientific question. An animal is forced by DNA to adapt, right? Whether is by the...
They would probably be half as effective with one pedipalp right? Or would they be pretty much useless? I found a cheap LV to breed with my female but it only has one pedipalp. I don't really want to pay the money for it if it's not going to be worth my time. Any thoughts?
Well, title says it all except maybe I'm mistaken about my girl being mature?? Isn't it if you can see their "flap" then they are mature and breed ready?
To people who know nothing about tarantulas? (Hopefully this thread can be hilarious without being inappropriate) Earlier I told my friend "the male sperms all over a web then puts it on pretentious legs that aren't legs, then shoves it in a flap on the abdomen under the female". I'd post a...
I do well with the species of T's that live in drier climates. I do reasonably OK with my Avics and other high humidity species. However there are times when I cannot find the right balance between too dry or too wet. I have some Avic spiderlings that are doing quite well. The substrate I'm using...
I am looking for a seller who can ship tarantula to Indonesia. Websites or id please..... Thanks
Hi guys, So I have this 2/3" P.regalis. She lives in a tall deli cup, and I have placed two cork barks there so she can make a home in between. However, its been two weeks since I have seen her. the barks are completely webbed up and she hasn't come out of there. I am a little worried, do you...
So I went to local expo today and got M. balfouri 2i for 13€, 0.1 P. subfusca "lowland" (2.5") for 25€ and about 300 or probably more S. lateralis for 10€. I didn't think I'll get so much for little money I had.
