The title says it all, tell me the most potent in venom T, true spider, or scorpion you have/had. The most potent animal I have ever had was a brown widow.
I've been asking whats a good starter species for a while and I came down to some options which ever one of these you recommend just know that I'm getting a terrestrial I won't plan on handling it and please put a link to basic care sheet or something to the species and how much it will cost me. ...

I've looked all over google, i searched the forums. Very little if any info on this species. My buddy has one and we are trying to figure out what the common name is, and well anything else on it! He seems to be keeping it just fine. Not sure of his conditions, but I wouldn't mind hearing how...
My GBB, I believe, is in the early stages of premolt. I noticed this last night as I watched it casually add webbing to its enclosure. This morning, it was still going at it, and I'm pretty certain that it webbed throughout the night judging by the amount of new webbing. Now, twelve hours later,...

Last night I was at my friend's home. We were so-drunk (a little) that he decided to handle his T, a Selenocosmia Samarae. Since he decided to handle it, Me too SHOULD handle it (for him to be fare, LOL) I never held any of juvenile T's (even mine) and i'm decided from the start that I WILL NOT...
OK so I decided to transfer my ceratogyrus slings into a bigger tank....WITHOUT LID. I decided to attach a wire-screen lid into the tank via rubber band. I will replace this lid into better lid. anybody can suggest one? or how to attach the wire-screen into a different way because when im going...
So, some of you might remember me posting that I've a friend who's actually afraid coming over here anymore because of the T's. Well, she visited last weekend and eventually got "bold" enough to check on the T's after looking through the collection of molts I've stored in a box here. Due to the...
I got inspired from this thread and I obviously didn't get enough hugs as a child so I tried it for myself. :( It didn't taste like anything but I guess it's just a husk. Holothele incei exuviae pre-consumption. Give me the attention I crave.
Okay so I've been suffering from itchy hands due to urticating hairs ever since I got my first B. emilia in February (he never even haired me, just handling him was enough to cause me to have itchy hands and ongoing tiny blisters), he died the same month, however my reaction was extreme enough that...
I went to the Reptile Expo in Downsview today and picked up a nice-looking T. stirmi. The vendor wasn't sure how old it was, or if it was male or female. All he knew was that it was captive-bred. She (I'll refer to her as a female) was calm enough to walk onto my boyfriend's hand while we were...
Basically I'm looking for good pictures of T's. Doesn't mater what species, as long as you let me know so I don't have to do a bunch of research. If you guys can email them to me giving full disclosure, hell you can even put your name on the picture if you want in the bottom right hand corner...
Why do scorpions have the body dynamics to make babies without a mate but tarantulas don't?
My copy of the Tarantula Keepers Guide!!! Hooray!!! It took forever cause I kept spending my money on tarantulas instead lol.
Has anyone done this? Here in Canada, insecticides and pesticides are not allowed to be used, but a lot of plants come up from the states. So I'm not sure if they have them or not, so I want to clean them. How should I go abouts doing that? Just water and rub the plants? Is there a liquid I...
So I had a weird one last night. I dreamed I received a shipment of Ts. They were all tightly packed into one deli cup like you would see Vienna sausages or canned pickled peppers. I opened the lid. When I did they all started moving, they were packed very tightly together. I was sitting in...
It's fine to put polished rocks and minerals/glazed clay in a tarantulas cage right?
I was stoked to find this in the pet store in Londonderry Mall (Edmonton). Dumb luck tho, it was in a full sized LPS wall display... So I had to hunt for it!! It's maybe 2.5" at most!! I have my P.Regalis.. And will continue collecting the family.. But wanted the P.Murinus SO BAD!!! It was...
Just pulled my A. versi sac and happy to report all are cute little EWLS and all seem good. There's a few that still need to hatch if they are good. Nothing was stuck together and look healthy. I'm sure I'll lose some along the way, but so far so good :) So keep me in mind if anyone needs...
See the image. She just molted 4 days ago and I'm trying to determine if she's mature.
... even tho I been doing a lot of reading. Here's my new G. rosea . It's about 3" or so, and is in a 5.5 gal tank, with a piece of bark as a hide. It's already nabbed 2 crickets, and was amazing watching him spin his mat. This is going to be very addictive...
I have decided that I'm going to order a Poecilotheria rufilata /Redslate ornamental @ 1" and a Ornamental Baboon (Heteroscodra maculata) @2". I was going to get the female H.MAC I wanted but can't afford it so I'm going to just buy sling and pray for a female. I'm going to order the H mac...
