    As far as we know, Theraphosa blondi, native to Venezuela, northern Brazil, Guyana, French Guiana and Suriname, is the largest species of tarantula on the planet today—which I whole-heartedly agree with. Being a keeper of tarantulas for years, I have always favored this species due to their massive size.
