Your LPS will probably just carry crickets and maybe super/meal/waxworms.
Or you can order roaches online.
Crickets, meal worms, roaches all work. Have you done any research yet? Plenty of good info on your questions in various books and online information.
Crickets are always my main feeder for all my Ts. Mealworms are meh imho
