They don't need much space. They're called pet rocks for a reason.
I have mine in a 10 gallon but it is purely for looks. I could put it in half that size and it will be fine.
I think she's > 8" dls. Just huge and bulky. I touched her and she just sat there. I wouldn't think of doing that to any of my others.

L. parahybana and L. difficilis are pretty reasonably priced up to 2"... unless you're looking for an adult. Adult specimens are much more expensive.
