I just recently read that you should every now and then feed little pinks (newborn mice) to leopard geckos to improve good health. If I do feed little pinks to my leopard gecko (adult female), can't this cause her to chock? Thanks for any information.

Feeding pinkies is not necessary. They get all of their food requirements from invertebrate prey (except for certain minerals which are provided by dusting the insects). The only time I ever fed pinkies was when I brought my females off of their cooling period. The pinkies helped pack on the weight in preparation for breeding. I gave them one pink a month for three to four months in the spring. An adult leo will not choke on a small pinky.

I have only fed pinkies, when my leos were recovering from parasites. Fattened them up quite nicely.
