That's a subject that is still being discussed by some.
Some believe that G. pulchripes is actually G. grossa. I the mid 90's G. grossa, pulchripes and mollicoma were the same. However recently this may have changed.
What is being sold currently in the states as G. mollicoma is a completely different arachnid, charchol grey, not reddish brown..
actually the "original" Grammostola mollicoma should be overall grey with short grey hair on carapax and longer yellowish hair at its border. The long hairs on the legs are yellowish-red, like the long setae on the opisthosoma.
At least that's how the type looks like according to the description of Anton Ausserer 1875.
