Today I went to check on my T to give them some water and found my mature male G. rosea on his back which was trying to molt. Sadly he didn't make it. He got the old skin off his abdomen, but it seem he could not get out from the upper part his exoskeleton because of the tibial hooks. I hope he would live longer than this. It's been a year since his ultimate molt, so I guess the time has come.

Sorry to hear that Aragorn. Thats a pretty long time to live after the UM though. My A. Metallica lived about 4 days after his. And my G. Pulchra made it right over a month.

:( Sorry to hear that. At least this didn't happen at an earlier molt right?

*sympathies*

Thank you both for your condolences!

No, this happened after the ultimate molt. I've managed to mate him with my big girl, but sadly she didn't enclose the eggsac properly and most of the eggs dried out as a result.
