Will a heavily breed female have a shorter lifespan than a specimen that is unbred?
I understand that the temperature has an affect also. The warmer they are, the faster their metabolism, the shorter the life span. So, it is important to maintain the 'sweet spot' temperature-wise. Have any heard this to be true?
I've heard similar things about growth rate/temperature. I guess it makes sense but never seen anything conclusive. Mine stays hidden all the time so I have no idea what its growth rate is like.
Yeah they do molt and grow faster, I keep my 2-4i jacksoni at higher temps and feed 2-3 times a week and it almost doubled their growth rate. Once they hit 4i or so and they are eating decent size prey I stop.
