I have been in the care of a baby Emp since November. I feed it every week or so, and it is kept in a small tupper-ware container near my older Emp's heat lamp. However, it has not molted at all since I have had it. The only change is that it is much fatter. How long does it take before they molt? I am guessing temperature has something to do with it? My room is kinda cold, so the baby is usually kept around mid-70's -lower-80's (F). Since its been so long, when it molts, will it have a HUGE growth spurt?

The primary factor in scorpion growth appears to be genetics -- at least in those species that have been studied. While nutrition inevitably plays a role, you can expect relatively consistent growth among, for example, litter mates. Growth rates may change -- but the size difference with each moult appears relatively fixed.

Cheers,
Dave
