my a. Versicolor molted today, but it looks
like it didn't shed the abdomen. Almost all of the spider is a pale color, but the abdomen is small and still dark. The body is about twice as big as the abdomen. I don't see an abdomen on the molted skin, so don't think it came off. Is this normal or should I do something?"

Molted abdomens tend to get all torn up, especially if the spider eats that part of the molt (some do, my C. cyaneopubescens does every time). The abdomen on a freshly molted tarantula is usually still dark, and they're small because that's how molting WORKS - they burn all their fat so they can grow.
