H.Minax or not

I bought this critter at a reptile show for $10.Do you all think its a true minax or something else.Ive been reading a lot about them being mistaken for other species ,such as H.longipedum..Thanks...Rich

You appear to have a Haplopelma sp. "longipendum" (the pet trade Cyriopagopus paganus) :) And a very handsome one at that.

Thanks Lopez.I was just wondering.Oh well still for $10 I guess its not that bad huh.Its about 4",Lazy sucker tho.rarely moves.lol...Rich

Poke it two or three times and it will certainly move ;)

In all seriousness, make sure you keep her warm enough. I've seen these become virtually comatose after a cold night in the post - they seem to be particularly heat-sensitive.

For $10 that is a ridiculously good deal. I was offered spiderlings recently for £8 a piece (about $15 I think)
