would it hurt your tarantula if you dusted the crickets with calcium powder before feeding to the tarantula

It won't hurt but it's not necessary for T's to have calcium. They don't have any bones or anything in their bodies that it would benifit.

As far as I have learned most (if not all) t's do not require calcium. I have heard rumors that too much calcium can affect their molting process in a negative sense.

Yeah, supposedly too much calcium is bad...that seems to be the concensus in the forum at least.

Your better off providing your feeders with a good healthy diet...not to gutload neccessarily, but to insure your feeders are well nourished so whatever nutrients Ts normally derive from feeders is present.

Keep in mind, that a well fed feeder given fresh fruits and veggies will also be a well hydrated meal for the T also.
