this is one of my favorites! these guys have fire red or orange hairs that are ONLY on the tiny urticating patch. my favorite feature of this species. this is a mexican species that barely comes up into the states.

yes, mexican... they range into the US in a few places. one of my favorites. i caught 4 of these just miles north of the mexico border.

this species does not have a name. as of now, it is an aphonopelma of some sort. maybe brent will put a name to it.

What part of AZ???
i never said i got it from AZ. there are many states bordering mexico ;) and i travel alot hunting specific species in many states.
