I read a thread somewhere and all I could figure out was the black inside the white on the abdomin fades out in females but stays in males... but please someone explain it again because I didn't get it... thanks
Would someone be so kind as to explain how to sex a regalis by it's color scheme? Mine has tripled in size over two months and is very distinct. Gorgeous. Thanks for your time.

There is that little 'chain of diamonds' or 'lightning bolt' pattern on the dorsal surface of their abdomen. In females, it fades to a white/grey but males have the black inside of light color.

ok at what size should the black be noticably fading away, I have a 2 inch regalis who has a lighter black color than my ornata, but I haven't had it molt yet either, is it really noticable and at what size should it be mostly white in a female?
