What is this little guy?He is about 2 inches long with black hairs on top and reddish hairs at his sides.

Sorry, unable to identify. I checked my book and I googled Florida butterflies, moths, and caterpillars. Maybe somebody else will have the info. I would also like to know what it is.

yeah I looked but cant find. Who knows with the amount of invasives here.

Morph it to see what the butterfly/moth looks like

Morphing is exactly my intention. I have him in large jar with 1 inch of coco substrate and a stick to climb. Not sure what he eats but he seems to enjoy the flower and fruit powdery food I give to my hermit crabs. If anyone has any suggestions I would be happy to hear them.

Thanks Red Eyes :D . After thoroughly checking out those sites I believe my caterpillar is Estigmene acrea - The Salt marsh caterpillar.
