I am sure there are already posts about this but i can never get good results with the thread search. I recently got a B. albiceps which is 1.5" and a B.vagans that was 1" and i think the enclosures are a little too big. They are about 4.5" in width and length...the height is fine with the substrate in...i just put the B.vagans into one and i took my eyes off him for a second and when i looked back, he/she was gone! i looked all over the surface so i think it burrowed but i was going to feed them in 10 minutes and i dont know how to get himback to the surface...any suggestions?

Simply out, they need to settle in...

I don't think 4.5 in width is too large...
they can grow into their homes...

and about feeding them, don't worry...
when they are hungry they will come out and look
for food or wait at the entrances of burrows they might make...

also, they'll probably come out at night...
2" or so of substrate is fine..
they'll be fine...

I have a 1" albopilosum in a 4x4x7"
that I hardly ever see... it comes out at night and when I mist the walls...

yea i bought them from paul becker and he sent the b. vagans for free and it caught me off guard...the b. vagans is hopefully still in the enclosure he bolted when i was about to shut the lid but it looked like it was still there...the b. albiceps is cool...cant describe the coloration cuz im colorblind lol {D
