OK, here's a Long-Nosed Snake (Rhinocheilus lecontei), "Clarus" phase. She is VERY gravid. Found her on patrol a few weeks back. By the way, "Clarus" phase is when there is little to no red pigment showing on the scales. They are somewhat rare to encounter. Snake was removed from road and placed in a safe area (we want those babies to survive, and momma too). The reason I have not posted for awhile is I am doing database research for naherp.com which is attached to fieldherpforum.com. But, I am back. Look for more posts soon.
