Ugh! Woodlouse Hunter (Dysdera crocata) just escaped me

Came down to the basement, and there was a nice sized female. Grabbed something to scooped it up, almost had her, and she flung herself from the ceiling. Have no idea where she went. It's like she disappeared. I know they are great at hiding...I'm probably looking right at her.

Back to the hunt!

hope you find her! Those are cool spiders, only seen one and it was a couple of years ago.

Glad I google this spider. I have always wondered what kind of spider bit me when I was 8 or 9 yrs old. I got bit when found one under a cardboard and tried holding onto it with my fingers{D .

That is one wild spider, shame it got away. I think I may have to do some hunting of my own. It's also yet another reason to set up an isopod culture

The male is going to be food for a jumping spider. Still on the lookout for a lady. Might gather up some pill bugs in the meantime.
