so how do i really tell them apart?Females have small bumps at best, only the males have the large horns.

thanks for the info!In fully mature specimens the female is more often larger than the males. Males have "horns" on the pronotum and females have either bumps or are smooth. Females have nearly smooth antennae and males are significantly fuzzier looking in many varieties, though this is not always true.
