Molting question

My g.rosea just molted two days ago. All went well. My only question is this: is it important to remove the old molt from her cage? I ask this because the molt is deep in her burrow and I'd have to dig to remove it.

It's also been about 5 months since I changed the substrate. Would it be best to wait until she's ready to eat/be handled and then just change the substrate and get the molt all in one move? Thanks in advance

If you plan to change the substrate out as soon as she's hardened up, it should be safe to just leave it in there till then.

It shouldn't hurt anything, just remove it when you change the substrate.

Depending on the size of the T, you should give her a week or so to recover from the molt. After a week or so, you can change the substrate and remove the exuvia.

It's not critical that you remove the exuvia after a molt. You will find that a lot of times the T will actually toss the molt from their burrow or hide to get it out their way.
