Molt Question

This is my rose hair when i got it,

This is what it looks like now.

i was looking at its butt, and it seems darker to me. does that mean it will molt soon??
What do you guys think?

yeah, it looks like it is darkening a bit.


hard to say when the molt will be, though... maybe 2 weeks... maybe 2 months... rosea do things at their *own* pace... more than almost any other tarantula



and their pace usually isn't what anyone would call quick =P

Yea.. I agree with the above statement..

Out of all my critters.. My G. rosea slings take the longest to molt..

My 1'' G. rosea RCF took longer to molt than my 3'' B. albopilosum..

They are just weirdos! :D

When our G. rosea was about to molt, her bald spot turned super black, so I'd think yours still has a little ways to go. When we saw how dark it was we thought she'd molt in a week or two, and she molted the next day. Pretty awesome considering she molts once every two years. She's due to molt again May-June of 2011, haha.
