molting question

How often do spiderlings molt? I have a pink zebra beauty and it molted December 30th and I noticed that it has a black spot on its rump just like it did before it molted .Is this possible so soon? thanks lynn

Hi T lynn,
It depends on how often you feed them and how warm you keep them.
IMO. I've found that most little slings tend to molt about every 30 to 60 days. Although I've had a few molt much less than that.
I'm not sure how fast PZB's grow.
Hopefully someone with more experience with this sp. will replie.
Its been kind of slow here today. Too many hangovers I guess.LOL

I have an E. campustratus sling and it has molted about every 1.5 months.

This speices is a slow grower so you really need patience on this spieces. In around 10 yrs it will be mature

It is not in premolt... keep feeding it regular like.

urticating hair?

Could it be a patch of urticating setae? What size is the spiderling?
