I spotted a couple of large mealworm beetles in my pede cage. It's a 9" Puerto Rican that stays buried (if it's even still alive). Anyone feed their pedes these beetles, or should I remove them?

Not sure about pedes but I have fed darkling beetles (both mealworms and superworms) to herps and they eat them no problem.

There are these giant darkling beetles in the SW that I assumed nothing would eat because they were so foul-smelling, but I noticed that some Colorodo River toads I collected pooped out the elytra of these same beetles! Apparently, it's a good defence against some predators, but not all.

coexistence?

I've fed centipedes mealworm beetles (darkling?). Not a good idea to leave them in there though if the pede isn't interested.
