It's not wise to have prey items in the enclosure while the spider is molting and hardening up after the molt.

Yeah. I totally agree with passatt. Never keep crickets in there while ur t is molting. Other than that, t looking good. ;) :geek

Thanks, I am aware not to keep prey items in the cage but this was very sudden and the cricket was dead. Usually its easy for me to know when they are going to molt but this one was just weird.

Are you saying then that it wasn't prudent to point out that prey items in a molting spider's enclosure are a bad idea? Is it entirely out of the realm of possibility to assume that if there is one cricket (dead or not) in there that there may be others?
