I found this little creeper scaring the crap out of my niece in the bathroom last night, not wanting to waste it I currently have him in a glass cup with a bit of garden soil and access to water.

When I added a bit of water to the bottle cap it drank most of it and nearly doubled in size then curled up in the cap. lol The real question is, now what should I do with it? The jury is still out with the wife about keeping it and I am not about to just kill it. Does the care section about emperor scorpions apply to this one also? He comes from the Nevada desert so it would seem moisture is not a big concern. How about food and temperature? The desert down here varies in temp from 120 degrees to 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Need advice.

Small critter keeper (or something similar) Feed it one cricket once a week about the size of the body or smaller. Keep around 80-85 degrees. Use a red light or tank heater mat. Do not place under the tank. A couple inches of sandy soil.
