Dr. Hoffman was a millipede taxonomist in VA who kindly identified a number of millipede specimens for me over the years, made edits and suggestions for my millipede book (before it was published), wrote up a full-length article for an Invert-Mag issue and short addendum article on millipede ozopores for another issue. He wrote about submitting something new a few months back but must have been waylayed by health issues.
