Of the top 20 most lethal venoms, 11 of the snakes are sea snakes, and another 2 are aquatic. (Most lethal: mg injected sub cu).
Sea: Dubois's sea snake, Yellow bellied sea snake, Horned sea snake, Black banded sea snake, Beaked sea snake, Olive-headed sea snake, Elegant sea snake, Olive sea snake, Broad banded sea krait.
Aquatic: Congo water cobra, Banded water cobra
Of the top 4 (five to be accurate) people killers, only 2 make the top 20 of most lethal venom: Krait and saw scale viper. The #1 people killer, O. Hannah, isn't even in the top 50.
The female king cobra is possibly the most maternal of any snake. She tenaciously guards her eggs for 2 to 3 months, then when they hatch she immediately abandons the nest to avoid eating her young.
