Found this Tailless Whipscorpion north of Puerto Vallarta, near Sayulita, in Mexico last week. Mitchnast says it could be a paraphrynus spp, I am not too sure! Anyone have any further information on the species or other information they might be willing to share? 557080_10152365955465542_437374009_n (1).jpg

I would think it's a Phrynus species (1 spine between the 2 longest on the pedipalp). I would also guess that's it's not yet adult.

Thank you for the replies. About how big would this get then?

I believe they get a bit larger than P. marginemaculatus. Size can be largely determinant on life span, as they have no terminal molt. There seem to be a few Amblypygi experts out there, maybe they'll chime in.

I have no idea what species it is. Would some different pictures help with identification?

Identifying juveniles is extremely difficult, even for experts...maybe banshee can make a educated guess based on the pics and locality...
