THE TARANTULA BIBLIOGRAPHY :: JANUARY 2013
The new release of The Tarantula Bibliography (http://www.exoticfauna.com/tarantulabibliography) is now available. It covers the all currently recognized theraphosid spiders with bibliographic citations focusing on species descriptions/recent taxonomic changes and arachnoculturist-oriented publications. Also available is a downloadable PDF that lists all 931 species in 123 genera with countries of origin and subfamily (see link at top right of each page). You may also subscribe to updates to receive notifications and new Species List PDF via email.
Summary of late 2012 revisions:
- 24 DECEMBER 2012 - Revised Vitalius nondescriptus comb. nov.
- 20 DECEMBER 2012 - Added new species: Poecilotheria rajaei.
- 15 NOVEMBER 2012 - Added new species: Eupalaestrus larae.
- 1 NOVEMBER 2012 - Site updated. New genus Typhochlaena added and the related revisions to Iridopelma, Pachistopelma and Tapinauchenius. Added new species Chaetopelma altugkadirorum, new genus and species Cotztetlana omiltemi and two new Bonnetina.
