Well Since there is a Old World Genus Poll i thought we could name our fav. New World genus.

My favorite new world would have to be Lasiodora. Although I have only one, parahybana. I wonder if breeder/dealers are determining prices based on these polls, dave

I'd definately have to say Psalmopeous. Pulcher and cambridgi are my favorites :)

As a genus, I really like Avicularia. Eupalasterus (?) are nice too, and Grammostola have a very good reputation for easy temper. Never seen any Brachypelma up close, but other people like those.

Psalmopoeus defninitely! As of yesterday, I have one of each too!!! :D

Although....those Taps look pretty cool too; I just haven't had a chance to get my mitts on any, plus they are $$$...

Psalmopoeus is my fave NW genus, but Grammostola aureostriata is my fave NW tarantula.

Well, I seem to like all the genuses under the sub-order avicularinae.

I like your three original picks:

1. Avicularia versicolor for a beautiful arboreal life cycle.

2. B. smithi for classic beauty.

3. G. rosea for a pretty pet rock to hold.

Honorable mention: G. pulchra for personality.

These are my favorites... hands down in my opinion great Ts.
