When i feed my tarantula, he picks it up and try to bite it but then he drops it and scurries away. Is this normal?

My H.mac likes to do this.........some times will even take and tuck it to the side and come back later for it.......have also seen them do that in say pre-molt too

so I think you ok.....just keep an eye and if after a day or so remove

W/out knowing more I cannot say. It reminds me of what Ts do when owners feed an item that is too large, OR T isn't hungry but just can't make up its mind until after the attack hah.

Very normal. My C.Fasciatum does this every time he eats. Kill, drop, leave, return, eat..rinse and repeat.

My G. Rosea kills everything...if she's hungry she'll eat...if not, she drops it in her water dish.
