I read on an old thread here that you can mix plain yogurt and moss in a blender and smear it on wherever you want it to grow. Ok, I did that. The problem is it isn't growing moss. Its growing mold? Ideas?

I've want to try this for a while. Ventilation is the key, I believe. Moss (depending on type) needs water, light, and access to fresh air to thrive.

Was this some backyard moss? Can you find more? Look for little 'sprouts' that stick up. Those are the spores, and the more of those, the better. Try to a few different blends if you can. If you find your moss in a bright area, keep your blend in the sun.

I keep hitting various garden centers looking for moss. It seems scarce to buy from just anyone. I'll likely buy online, or scour the next expo for a good vendor.

Post any results you find!
