Frog moss?

I wanted to hear other peoples opinions and experiences with zoo meds frog moss. I dont know if im going to put it in my T enclosure yet but i have it in one of my scorp enclosures and i have it with my tree frogs.
Is it actually alive?
If so what type of surfaces will it grow on?
How much light does it need?
