At my local pet store they have a flat rock scorpion for sale. And that's all it says. All the tarantulas have the scientific names but not the scorpion. And I know there's a couple species of flat rock, but what is the most common species that pet stores carry?

Hadogenes paucidens, if you're fortunate, troglodytes.

If you can get a look at it's back, it should be fairly easy to distinguish between the two main species in captivity. Paucidens will have obvious light stripes on it's back, whereas troglodytes won't. In either case, assuming you can properly care for it and are interested, you should jump on that right away-I personally haven't found them very easy to come by.
