Ah ok, the male just looked darker so that's why I thought that lol. Did you knock them out to sex them? I will have these in my invert collection one day haha :)

The reason why its darker its starting to decompose ots already dead. Yes I needed to sedate each to sex them. You know where to get them....classified section hehehe!

That looks amazing, all that color contrast running around. That's a big male too, hardwickei most closely fit the size of heros imo, and probably some unusually big ones roaming around like with heros. Kind of strange that every now and then a huge specimen is found. My guess is that there is something genetic floating around in the pool that causes that.

I have a huge female that just molted I will post some pictures around 11 inches.
