Well, those of you who theorized that Ginger was a WC specimen must have been correct. Last night while I was checking on the "kids", I checked on Ginger to see if she molted yet and....NOPE. Instead, she was sitting on a big, fat egg sac. :eek:

I took some pics last night but all of them are useless. I'll take some more later on and try to get them uploaded this evening though.

Holy cannoli...didn't someone else have this happen to them like three days ago? What are the chances of that? LOL...

Are G. porteri prone to sac-eating? I'm hoping to let her keep it until they're EWLs at least.

Congrats! I would look up the breeding reports on here. All tarantulas could eat their egg sack, in theory. I personally have never bred G. porteri. I have bred versicolors successfully. I pulled after 35 days to find 1i slings.

Ur like the 4th or 5th person in the last 6 months to have this happen haha have fun snd buy tonns of lil cups if its viable xD
