What on earth is the correct scientific name for what is sold in the US as pamphobeteus sp. Santo Domingo? It's a sling, so I doubt a picture is going to help.

Pamphobeteus sp. 'Santo Domingo' is the correct name. It is an undescribed/uncompared species. That name is as good as you're going to get until it has been looked at. I wouldn't hold my breathe for a Pamphobeteus revision anytime soon.

Thanks. I've noticed that the chances of pamphos getting sorted out and further studied seem to be pretty small currently. I just wanted to be correct when stating what I have.
