So one of my worst nightmares has happened.
About two weeks ago I moved some of my critters into new enclosures and that included a roughly 1.5 inch H. incei. I do remember wondering if some of the ventilation holes were slightly too big...but all was well as far as I could see (hindsight is 20/20). Wednesday of last week was the last time I checked up on everyone and then I went to do food and watering today....
Annd I don't know where she's at buuut I know where she's not.
Tore apart the 10x12 room she was in (flashlight in hand) but no luck.
I am completely strung out and heartbroken. Vaguely paranoid she got out not long after I transferred her (she was in the kitchen for about a week because I was rearranging stuff) and so is actually loose somewhere else other than the room she's usually in. To make matters worse, there's a good 2-3 inch diameter hole in the wall not far from her usual enclosure location and I have a sinking suspicion she went in there...which means she could be anywhere loose in the complex.
Haven't heard the neighbours scream yet though...so maybe she's still around.
I'm worried about her, worried about the other critters in the house and pretty worried about what happens if she turns up somewhere in the building and the landlord finds out.
Thoughts?
